Its been a good week since I have had time to update my blog… I am going to try and hammer a few posts out today to digitally capture what I have been up to this past week, including camping, airsoft modding, and the exciting 7 games of the Stanley Cup finals…
Before I share my thoughts on the game, I wanted to share a picture that I am sure the entire world has seen by now.
At first when I saw the picture, it excited me! It was something beautiful coming out of an ugly mess. Riot’s in the streets of Vancouver after my beloved Canucks lost to the Boston Bruins in game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
Seriously? Riots! AGAIN??? Common fellow Canadian’s are we NOT better then this? To allow our emotions to over run us, causing destruction, hurting others and destroying property is unacceptable. I was embarrassed to be Canadian, and a Canucks fan that night…
But waking up the next day, and seeing an AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL picture that might have a positive story behind it, got me excited, and hopeful that something good, could come away from that night’s mess!
The Star identified the couple as 29-year-old Scott Jones from Perth, Australia, and Alexandra Thomas from Vancouver. As the video above shows, Thomas had been knocked down by the riot police during the melee, and Jones was trying to comfort her — with his lips, apparently.
Check out the video above for more from the couple, who also assert that the photo is legit.
Nicely done Scott Jones from Australia, and Alexandra, I think he’s a keeper!
